Our clients, a family of Sri Lankan descent, approached us with an ambitious vision - to create a residence that would pay homage to their cultural heritage while embracing the epitome of contemporary luxury living.More than just a home, they envisioned a living celebration of their roots,woven into the very fabric of the space through vibrant colours, intricate patterns, and opulent materials synonymous with Sri Lankan design traditions.The aspiration was to craft a harmonious tapestry that seamlessly blended the ornate artistry of their ancestral island with the refined comforts of modern life.
The Approach
Capturing the essence of Sri Lankan style meant embarking on a journey deep into the island nation's rich artistic traditions.Our research delved into the intricate woodcarvings, vibrant textiles, ornate metalwork and ancient architectural wonders that have long adorned Sri Lankan homes and palaces. This immersive exploration directly informed our design decisions - from material selections like sumptuous marble finishes and intricately carved wood accents, to the integration of decorative metalwork and masterful stonework evocative of palatial grandeur.

The grand foyer sets the tone with its soaring carved marble staircase and intricate metalwork.
